Preparation
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).
- Rinse the chicken under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Rub the olive oil all over the chicken, then season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
- Open the beer can and drink or pour out half of the beer. Place the can inside the beer can holder.
- Insert the can into the cavity of the chicken, ensuring it stands upright.
Grilling
- Place the chicken upright on the grill grates, away from direct heat.
- Close the grill lid and cook for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the chicken.
- Rotate the chicken occasionally for even cooking.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
