Method
Prepare the Crumb Topping
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon. Mix until crumbly and set aside.
Make the Cake Batter
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the blueberries.
Assemble and Bake
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
