Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries washed and drained
Crumb Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Prepare the Crumb Topping
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon. Mix until crumbly and set aside.
Make the Cake Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the blueberries.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
  2. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the batter.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
