  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1.5 cups Warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Baking soda
  • to taste Coarse sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons Melted butter

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit until foamy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rest in a greased bowl, covered, for about 10 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Divide the dough into equal parts and shape each part into a bunny figure.
  7. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add baking soda.
  8. Boil each pretzel shape for about 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet.
  9. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and brush with melted butter.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
