In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and fine sea salt until fully aerated.
In a separate medium bowl, whisk cultured buttermilk, beaten eggs, melted cooled butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Using a silicone spatula, gently fold just until combined—lumps are completely normal! Do not overmix. Let batter rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.
Preheat a heavy cast-iron skillet or non-stick griddle over medium heat (approx. 350°F / 175°C). Lightly grease with a pat of butter.
Pour 1/3 cup of batter per pancake onto the hot griddle. Immediately press 8 to 10 wild blueberries gently into the top of each pancake (do not fold all berries into raw batter, or the batter turns gray).
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until bubbles pop and remain open on the surface and edges look matte. Slide a thin spatula underneath, flip gently, and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until golden-brown and cooked through.
Stack warm pancakes high, crown with a dollop of whipped maple butter, drizzle with warm amber syrup, and enjoy immediately!
