Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Chicken broth or vegetable broth for a vegetarian option
  • 1 medium Lemon zested and juiced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Serve over cooked pasta and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

This sauce pairs well with fettuccine or spaghetti. Adjust the lemon juice to taste for more or less acidity.
