Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans canned peaches drained and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice for brightness
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained canned peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir until well mixed.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
  2. Spoon the batter over the peaches, spreading it evenly.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving.
