Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium tomatoes ripe, chopped
  • 2 medium jalapeño peppers seeded and chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Ingredients
  1. Chop the tomatoes, jalapeños, onion, and mince the garlic.
Cook the Vegetables
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  2. Add the chopped tomatoes and jalapeños. Cook for about 10 minutes until softened.
Blend the Salsa
  1. Transfer the cooked mixture to a blender. Add cumin, salt, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
Serve
  1. Transfer the salsa to a bowl, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve with tortilla chips or as a condiment.

Notes
