Ingredients
  

Seafood
  • 1 pound raw shrimp peeled and deveined
Vegetables
  • 1 medium red onion finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1 medium cucumber diced
  • 1 medium jalapeño finely chopped, optional
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice about 4-5 limes
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Shrimp
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the raw shrimp with lime juice. Ensure the shrimp is fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until shrimp turns opaque.
Mix Ingredients
  1. Once the shrimp is cooked in lime juice, drain excess juice and add chopped red onion, tomato, cucumber, jalapeño, and cilantro to the bowl.
Season and Serve
  1. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper. Toss gently to combine. Serve chilled in a serving dish.
