Ingredients
  

Brisket
  • 4 pounds beef brisket trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons salt kosher
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 cup beef broth for moisture

Method
 

Prepare the Brisket
  1. Rub the brisket with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Preheat the Smoker
  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C) and add wood chips for smoke flavor.
Smoke the Brisket
  1. Place the brisket in the smoker, fat side up. Smoke for about 5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).
Wrap and Rest
  1. Wrap the brisket in aluminum foil and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Serve
  1. Slice the brisket against the grain and serve with your favorite BBQ sides.
