Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa your choice of mild or spicy
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning store-bought or homemade
Taco Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1 cup sour cream optional
  • 1 cup sliced jalapeños optional
  • 8 pieces taco shells soft or hard

Method
 

Prepare the Chicken
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Pour the salsa over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle the taco seasoning on top.
Cook
  1. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and shreds easily.
Assemble Tacos
  1. Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it with the salsa in the crockpot.
  2. Serve the chicken in taco shells and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños as desired.
