Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk until just combined.
  6. Add pink food coloring until your desired shade is reached. Gently fold in sprinkles.
  7. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow cakes to cool before frosting with buttercream and adding more sprinkles.
